Benamara is located between Atalaya Isabade and El Presidente and is very close to both the Salduna beach club and the Atalaya tennis and padel club. There are several restuarants in the area and a large supermarket. The area is half way between Marbella and Estepona with San Pedro de Alcantara being the closest town.

Inland of the main road are the popular areas of El Paraiso and Diana park commercial strips which boast a variety of amenities, restaurants and bars. There are footbridges over the main road so these areas are also in easy walking distance. There are also frequent buses to Marbella and Estepona.
